Course Coverage

The MBA program provides for a comprehensive coverage of topics in line with the syllabus prescribed by theUGC. PEDAGOGY:

Adarsh Business School believes in developing an individual with strong fundamentals and conceptual skills and capabilities. The learning process involves extensive classroom instructions, case analysis and individual projects.

Executive like qualities (ELQ) model is adopted for the internal assessment which is intimated to the parents. The students will be awarded internal assessment marks on ELQ parameters consisting of:

LECTURES

For better understanding of the concepts, models and theories of the concerned subject the scheduled lectures act as an integral part of the teaching methodology. The faculty members design their lecture delivery schedule with a special focus on incorporating the most relevant content for the budding managers on diversified areas as per the advanced and exhaustive curriculum to cater to the contemporary issues and challenges of the exponentially dynamic corporate world.

CASE STUDIES

Case Studies act as an integrated, important and indispensable part of the curriculum at Adarsh Business School. The students participate whole heartedly in all the three processes of development of case studies, analyzing case studies, and solving case studies by applying the concepts and ideas of management. This facilitates the holistic learning process in the area of management and is in line with the internationally accepted teaching tool in the area of management education.

PROJECTS & ASSIGNMENTS

Projects are compulsory and indispensable part of the curriculum at Adarsh Business School. All students are compulsorily required to undertake Research Projects/Live Projects and prepare the dissertations according to their curriculum. The Summer Internship Project is of eight week duration wherein a student is required to undergo practical training in a corporate house or may undertake a research project under the guidance of a faculty member. At Adarsh Business School, the faculty acts as a mentor not only for the project or assignments but also for the student throughout his presence at the institute. He plays a pivotal role and a supporting guide to the research while the External guide from the industry makes him work as per the changing business environment.

International Engagement Program

Globalization and its impact on businesses worldwide is a key learning ingredient of Adarsh Business School students. To foster this dimension of learning amongst our students, Adarsh Business School has entered into academic partnerships with several overseas Institutes. These partnerships result in foreign students visiting our campus and our students going to these partner Institutes to gain valuable global exposure on the diversity in culture, business regulations, market behaviour and complexities of managing a business in a global environment.

Under the international exchange program our students have visited Malaysia, China and Singapore.  These visits are for a short duration of around 10 days and comprise visits to leading educational institutions, multinational corporations, and sponsored cultural and social events besides sightseeing. Such immersions are faculty-led and the students benefit from university lectures, company visits and presentations. Plenty of academic/research preparation has to be done by students before embarking on these tours. The idea is to ensure that the students carry with them questions, ideas, hypothesis and conceptual tools that could be tested in a foreign location.
